James H. Forsell, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President, Allograft ProcessingJames H. Forsell, Ph.D., who has been with TBI for nearly two decades, brings broad-based experience in tissue, eye, and organ banking; He oversees the strategic development of all TBI allograft tissue processing programs and the operation of TBI’s National Processing Center. Dr. Forsell holds two BS degrees from Michigan Technological University, an MS degree from Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. in immunology and toxicology from Michigan State. He has published many scientific articles in peer reviewed journals, and authored other works published in books. In addition to his work at TBI, he has held various posts at the American Association of Tissue Banks including president (2007), chair of the musculoskeletal council, and member of its board of governors. He has served as a volunteer accreditation inspector and as associate editor for the AATB Tissue and Cell Report.

James H. Leimkuhler
Chief Financial OfficerSenior Vice President, Administration
James H. Leimkuhler, who has been with the organization since 1991, also serves as the treasurer/secretary for the TBI Board of Directors and has been treasurer and a trustee of the Frederick N. Griffith Foundation since 1997. He is currently TBI’s Senior Vice President, Administration as well as its Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he headed TBI’s international division and helped to launch the International Federation of Eye & Tissue Banks. A certified public accountant, he is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and received his MBA from Loyola College. Mr. Leimkuhler has given presentations at meetings of the Eye Bank Association of America, international ophthalmology conferences in Turkey, India, Italy, and Poland, and at The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He was a member of the International Advisory Board of the European Association of Tissue Banking and Co-Chair of the 3rd International Conference on Cornea, Eye Banking, and External Diseases.

Arthur T. O’Neal
Vice President, Donor DevelopmentIn his position as TBI’s Vice President, Donor Development, Arthur T. O’Neal works closely with the directors of all TBI network eye and tissue banks to promote donation and to respectfully and safely recover tissue. He has extensive experience in the medical device and biotech fields. Before coming to TBI, he oversaw business development for the spinal/bio-implants program at Medtronic.

David M. Pennington
Vice President, Ocular OperationsDavid M. Pennington is responsible for the strategic direction of processing and outreach activities for TBI ocular operations. He oversees The National Eye Bank Center, TBI Ocular Services, and International programs, and is based at The National Eye Bank Center in Memphis. Prior to joining TBI, Mr. Pennington served as the Director, Clinical Operations and Marketing for Luminetx. He also has worked as a Product Manager, Clinical Education Manager, Senior Organ Procurement/Transplant Coordinator and Critical Care Nurse. Mr. Pennington earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Bachelors Degree in Nursing after serving as an officer in the United States Air Force.

Kathleen C. Terlizzese, CFRE
President, Frederick N. Griffith FoundationVice President, Public Information
Kathleen C. Terlizzese has been with Tissue Banks International for more than twenty years, most recently as Vice President, Donor Development responsible for TBI's domestic eye and tissue banking location operations, TransplantLine -TBI's donor referral and consent center and oversight of TBI's fund raising. Prior to that, she headed TBI's ocular division and its fund raising outreach. A graduate of the College of William and Mary's National Planned Giving Institute Program, she has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive since 1996, credentialed by CFRE International. She has nearly two decades of development experience. Kathi has been a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals since 1990 and is a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving, the Annapolis Rotary Club, American Society of Association Executives, Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement, Eye Bank Association of America, and the American Association of Tissue Banks.
